The Highs & Lows of 11 months

Allison has been having a week of ups and downs. She has some new tricks up her sleeve - clapping and waving. We had been working on clapping for a few weeks now but she never wanted to do it herself. Instead she preferred just to clap my hands for me. Starting on Friday she gave her first real claps all on her own - totally unprompted. It melted my heart. And in the last few days she's started waving for bye-bye and hello. Hopefully you'll all be lucky enough to be on the receiving end of one of these waves soon.

Allison had a great visit with her Grandma & Grandpa on their way back from a week in Arizona. She loved all the extra attention and showed off many of her new skills - including her excellent stair climbing. Now if only she could figure out coming back down.

On the down side... she's been a little under the weather. Saturday night was spent throwing up her lunch and dinner. It was not pretty for mom, dad or baby. Every time we thought she was done and got her and her sheets changed, more would come up. Poor girl! Luckily that only lasted the one night but she's still not too keen on eating and has been having troubles with the stuff coming from the other end. I'm hoping that will clear up very soon.

Finally, Allison had a great playdate on Friday night with her buddy Kiley (who's just 2 days older than A) while mommy & daddy went to a hockey game. They had a great time following each other around the house. Thanks to Kiley's mommy for the pictures and captions.

I'm so excited you're here Allison - I'll show you how my table works..

After you play with the table - you crawl inside the toy box and play with the toys in here....it's much easier access that way.

If we talk under the table, they won't know what trouble we are plotting to get into next.

Ooooooooo - what's this you have on your head Allison?? I don't have any of that!
