Yesterday I made Teriyaki Chicken in the crockpot. It was so good and tender and super easy! I used 10 chicken thighs ($1.29/lb) and a bottle of store-brand Teriyaki marinade. I skinned the chicken first. Dump chicken & marinade in crockpot and cook on low for 10 hours. They didn't really need to cook that long but that's how long I was gone. The meat literally fell right off the bone. I served with green beans and baked potatoes.
It was so good even Allison ate some (after a bit of prompting with some BBQ sauce dipper).
And we have enough leftovers for me to make stir-fly with it tonights.
Total Cost: $12.
Chicken Thighs $6
Potatoes $3 for the 10lb bag
Green Beans $3 for the SteamFresh bag
